Apple has started working to make the Future Ipods and Iphones operated on Solar Power Cells. However it has also been reported that It will consume about 250,000 to 1 million times larger energy than a wrist watch for Iphone.

Listening to this news, many people have some concerns in their mind that how the solar energy will be used in portable devices which are mostly placed in the pockets and are exposed to light very often. So how these cells will collect energy from Sunlight.

So the answer was that This technology will not provide the power to the whole device but just extend the battery like It will be able generate about 1 watt in 24 hours.

Apple has always done an excellent job in handling portable device and now the idea to use the Sunlight energy but it will be designed in such a way that Solar cells get a large area at the device just like that for big purposes Solar panels are used but in this case Ipod/ Iphones are also contains Buttons and Screens so a very small area left for solar cells.

However an idea is that Solar panels take a place just on touch layer display which can get a large area to get the solar energy.

As Apple has started working on it, Other leading companies will also think of ways of reducing battery timings and other ways of generating power.
