after i done all it is searching only and no network avalbe

I followed all steps but my Iphone is not picking up a wifi network even though I am sitting beside it. I have tried resetting the network settings on the iPhone….nothing. I have tried resetting the settings on the airport as well. At times it will pick up the signal and then it drops the signal. When I go into Cydia it tries to reload the info but requires a connection I believe. How can I get further so I can install the ultrasn0w if I cannot find a wifi connection. It will not show any of the installed Cydia packages to manage. I am on baseband 06.15.00 now (was 05.12.01) and was having the same problem so I upgraded to the 06.15.00 to see if it would resolve the issue using the iPad firmware update. Any words of wisdom I could try? I am now on a nokia phone (ugh!) until I can get my iPhone back into the land of the living.

Trying to merge back into the techie world without an on-ramp! Yeesh!

it’s a corruct baseband you’ll have, if the network status is still displaying “searching”. the only thing im going to try now it to install an iphone 3gs 3.1.2 baseband. (there conpatable with the 4.2.1 firmware.
