Urban Crime, GTA-style game from Gameloft – Review

Urban Crime is the new Gameloft game in the App Store debut for free. The style of the game vaguely reminiscent of the fantastic GTA, able to thrill thousands (if not millions) of users, literally pasting them in front of their screens. We start from the history of the game, this speaks of Johnny Gainesville, a legendary gangster, to retrieve his brother, he met with the whole mob of Miami, having no real ambitions for power, he abandoned everything and left two gangs fighting a war to try replace it. In Urban Crime, plays a young criminal, which aims not only to allow the survival of the gang, but to be able to overwhelm the opponent, reaching the top of the underworld of the city.

When the game starts, a little tutorial teaches us how to control the character and move him in the boundless city of Miami. The control and movement of the player is done through a small analog stick , located at the bottom left of the main screen, hold your finger on the screen and dragging it toward the direction in which you want to move, your character will move running. In case you were away from the police or other criminals, while moving in the bottom right you see a button to press and hold to increase even more speed .

If these are the controls for moving around the city, seem to be equally simple commands on the ‘ interaction with the rest of the world , in fact, always in the right side of the screen, the buttons are displayed on the fight (with fists or with guns, depending on what you have available) and those for fall / rise . Therefore, to use any vehicle, approach, and click the button that will be shown on the screen , the interaction with people is different again, as you select them directly via the touchscreen . Completing the description of the main screen, shown at the top, a small map that shows the objectives and targets, to help in the movement, and finally, on top of the screen, there is a real bar that shows the money available, the number of diamonds, our “life” residual power and the level achieved.

All this because, in the course of your missions or trips, you lose energy and, once reached the lowest level, you can not play for a certain period , in the sense that, you will need to wait for our character to rest. The same goes for the money and diamonds at the beginning of the game, you can not take advantage of all that surrounds us, such as a particular motorcycle, because it required a certain level to be able to drive , in case you do not want wait, you can buy money, diamonds or energy, through an integrated store, through which you will pay 2 euros for example, to get 5 diamonds.

The proposed missions are interesting and engaging, the City of Miami Urban Crime seems to be something very big , it will take some time to be able to visit fully. The graphics are satisfactory, as the gameplay, even if driving any car or motorcycle, much practice is required, because you can turn by turning the device, but to accelerate and brake has to press two buttons displayed on the screen .

Overall a great game to keep you engaged for several hours , remember that Urban Crime is available free from the App Store.
