Liquipel developed a new technology called ”WaterBlock.NEW” which isolates the devices to prevent contact between internal components and fluids. As reported by Cult Of Android , Apple and Samsung’s next generation Smartphones will use this technology.

According to what reported by a source of Today’s iPhone , the next smartphone of Apple may resist the contact with water and with other liquids thanks to a complete coverage realized by Liquipel. As we know this technology does not add thickness to the iPhone as it is of a particular liquid that is applied on the device. But according to reports the new Samsung Galaxy S III could implement this protection system designed by the same company.

However, sinc the rumors are spread only by a telephone operator and not directly from Liquipel, the news should be taken with appropriate caution: Apple and Samsung could be really interested in this technology as well as might not be, and nothing to date had suggested a possible implementation of WaterBlock.NEW in the next iPhone.

Here comes the latest entry in our section of ‘Noob’s Corner’ (noob = newbie, beginner), where we publish articles and guides to learn how to interact better with the basic functionality of the iPhone. As always, I repeat that this is a section designed especially for those approaching for the first time in the world of the iPhone and wants to know the basic functionality. In this article we’ll examine how to delete names and password saved in Mobile Safari.

The ability to save username and password in mobile Safari is definitely useful for those sites frequently visited by your IOS device, especially for those who tend to forget their login credentials. However, not everyone sees this feature as necessarily positive, since saving your data on a device may be particularly risky if this should fall into the wrong hands, as anyone could access the sites we visited without too much difficulty. Thanks to the following steps, anyone can remove these credentials without having to reset the device, thus avoiding to save your login information automatically in Mobile Safari.

First of all, we must open the Device Settings, and enter the section dedicated to Safari. Then press the “Autofill” at the top of the page, and select the button “Delete All”. Confirm the action by pressing on the “Clear Data autofill”.

At this point, all your data has been deleted. If you decide that you do not want to automatically save your username and password in the same section under Settings you can disable the “Names and Passwords”.

MyScript Memo is an excellent and free handwriting Application on iPhone and iPad, which allows you to convert handwritten notes into text.

With this application you can take notes using a stylus or your fingers, and then convert them to text. The application recognizes 30 different languages and can also include one or more images within the text. The written notes can then be sent via email or via Twitter, Facebook and Evernote, but sharing on social networks is a feature that is unlocked only via in-app purchase at $ 2.99.

Using the application you will immediately notice that the handwriting recognition is quite good, even if you are not particularly good at spelling. You will then need to manually write a note, click the appropriate button and converted into digital text. A special feature also allows you to insert one or more images, taken from the roll or taken immediately from the iPhone, in the text.

From Settings, you can choose the language, the background for the notes, the width of the pen and the virtual dictionary in which staff can add new words. The notes you create are saved within the application and can be reopened at any time.

MyScript Memo app is well designed, well enough that recognizes text written by hand. Unfortunately, the sharing of such notes turned into test is only available for a fee, but in any case, the app can be proved in a completely free, by downloading it from this link .

Have you ever wondered what could be the meaning of the letters that make up the serial number of your device? Well OSXDaily, a famous American blog, has recently published guidelines for you to “read” this code.

To find your serial number go to Settings-> General-> About and look for the desired item.

The code is generally written in the form “AABCCDDDEEF”, ie:

AA stands for the place of production and the device ID

B indicates the year in which it was assembled (by returning only the last digit)

CC means the week of production

DDD stands for unique identifier (not to be confused with the UDID)

EE indicates the color of your device

F rather shows storage dell’iDevice, where S stands for 16GB and 32GB for T

If, for example, a serial 79049XXXA4S we can deduce that:

It ‘was produced in the n.79 (perhaps Foxconn)

Assembled in the 49th week of work

It ‘a black 16GB iPhone 4

Alternatively, from iDownloadBlog have learned that there’s a website where, by entering the serial number of any Apple product, you can get the same information.

Note: the process only works on iPhone 4 as the iPhone 3G and iPhone serial 4S are similar but not at all correspond to the “legend” above.

Perhaps not everyone knows that Cisco , a leading provider of enterprise computing, not only owned the most famous brand name on earth called iPhone but also the brand name IOS before the Cupertino company began to use it.

Lashinsky wrote in his book how Steve Jobs persuade Charles Giancarlo , Cisco’s then leader, to renounce these two brands:

Giancarlo got a phone call directly from Steve Jobs. “Steve called me and said he wanted the iPhone trademark” Giancarlo remembers, “but would not offer anything in return except the promise that he would be one of our best friends and partners in the future. We said no, that we wanted to use that mark, but soon after came a telephone call from Apple’s legal: according to their lawyers, Cisco would have in fact abandoned the mark iPhone as not used and promoted in any way. This, for them, meant that the mark iPhone was available to be used by Apple. “ Giancarlo, Cisco threatened litigation before the launch of the iPhone, but Apple pretended to nothing and after the presentation of smartphones in 2007, Cisco filed his complaint.

It was from that moment that Steve Jobs began one of its classic negotiating tactics: Giancarlo called home the evening of Valentine’s Day and asked him if his computer was unable to receive an email – rhetorical question if made to an executive from one of the most important companies Website of the U.S. – and Giancarlo said yes. A few days after Cisco and Apple have reached an agreement and now cooperate in areas of mutual interest. Some months later, Apple also got permission to use the name iPhone OS

In practice, once again, Steve Jobs has managed to convince a “competitor” to come to terms, even if we do not know what was the content of that email. Without set that Apple has been able to comfortably use the name iPhone is that the IOS name for its products.

Here are a few lines for you to sync your iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad in the background with the satisfaction of having made a brief excursion into the world of scripts.

Doug Adams , a real guru in the world of AppleScript wanted to share an insight of his daily life with the Apple Community… and a few lines of code with which you can synchronize you iDevice automatically, and strictly in Wireless with iTunes.

The developer is quite fond of listening to broadcasts in the evening for this has come up with a solution that would allow him to sync the iPhone with iTunes during the lunch hour, so that he can arrive at night with a full set of podcasts for playback.

To achieve this you have to create an agent launchd so that, after verifying the performance of iTunes on the Mac, you invoke the sync, if active, or opening and synchronization, otherwise it is necessary that the ‘ iPhone / iPod / iPad is set to sync via Wireless or the script will not know which terminal to synchronize.

Then proceed with the creation of the script, by opening the AppleScript Editor and running in a new document, copying and pasting the below:

if not checkItunesIsActive () then return

tell application ”iTunes”

try

September src to ( some source Whose name contains ” 3G ”)

Tell src to update

end try

end tell

to checkItunesIsActive ()

tell application id ”sevs” to return ( exists ( some process Whosename is ”iTunes”))

end checkItunesIsActive

We highlighted in the source string 3G : This is in effect a parameter containing the identifier for iDevice, part of the name we assigned to our device to be synchronized (eg “ iPhone 3Gs“). Not need to enter the full name, just a part but the important thing is that there are other portions of the terminals synchronized with similar name or example to avoid parameters that can lead to conflict as the term Techxilla having terminals labeled “ iPhone 3GS Techxilla ”and” iPhone4S of Techxilla ”

In this particular article we want to talk about Spool, eponymous official application service that provides the users with the ability to save entire web pages and content right on your iPhone or iPad that you can see later from your device. The App downloads each and everything so that you can refer to content of interest even without an Internet connection at a later time.Let’s see what offers Spool.

First, it is important to point out the service to which this application allows you to access. Spool, whose website can be viewed at this address , allows you to save different content, such as videos and entire web pages, deferred for a consultation, not only from your browser, but also on the move from iPhone or iPad. Essentially, Spool will save whatever we deem interesting and making it accessible on the move, allowing also to download the items you want so you can open and view even without an Internet connection. However, It is important to note that this service is accessible by registration, but it is currently available by invitation only, you will to need access it through the Facebook by granting permission to Spool.

As soon as we start the application which is available for “free” in the App Store, it will present a series of cards tutorials to help us better understand how it works and how to save the contents of our interest, using a plugin for your browser. In the main screen you will find all your content divided essentially into two categories.the ones you already downloaded and those available in the stream. Virtually every element of the list can be downloaded and viewed at any time without having to resort to the connection, whether be it 3G and Wi-Fi. It will be possible to make a distinction between two kinds of elements using color in the side of each of them as the elements showing in are the ones that have been saved and black elements show that they are still on the air.

Accessible parts can range from simple items of a blog, to entire web pages containing video to play at any time as soon as they are downloaded. To save the pages from your browser in your personal Spool account we use different solutions. You can just paste the link reference in the space provided, installing extensions available for Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox, using the bookmarklet (also available from Safari Mobile) by sending an email to the links provided with the personal account and then connect, if desired, our Dropbox account. As soon as we have selected a web page, a video or an article to save, it is placed on a waiting list and the application will download the content in question, indicating when synchronization occurs by means of push notifications. This process seems to be very fast once it was successfully started, once the application synchronization, we’ll find this on the list, with the ability to view or download. The contents downloaded will be saved using the memory made available, but they can be archived to save space and save more content. You can also share an item deemed of particular interest to anyone.

The application menu, along with the interface, makes it a comfortable and allows easy navigation and avoid making the learning process too long and difficult for the user. In the main screen you will find our items downloaded and not divided by color, as already mentioned, while in the side menu will be available sections My Spool, Favorites andArchive . From the settings panel you can set certain parameters, such as the maximum space to use for downloads, the space used so far and the possibility to connect their Facebook accounts, Twitter and Dropbox.

The service generally seems to work so well, however, showing signs of a slowdown in proceeding with the various operations. The concept is very interesting, and could significantly improve Spool will be released as soon as the Beta phase, a particular element that was perhaps not appreciated is the viewing articles: these will be offered in the form of text, similar to applications such as Read It Later and Instapaper , in this respect is very well structured and able to offer a more consistent and in some respects more efficient and advanced.

In conclusion, the strength of the spool is essentially accessible, being completely free, while Read It Later and Instapaper require an initial outlay. We trust, however, that many of the errors and slowdowns of use, as well as the display, with subsequent updates will be implemented as soon as the phase and Beta will be exceeded.Currently, it is a great way to browse web pages and mobile video without connecting to the Internet, so you should check it out if you are interested in this kind of service! You can find free on the App Store spool to this address .
